Medical Director Job Duties

  • Sets level of medical care and quality for patients using available data and chart reviews
  • Recommends potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the market
  • Provides statistical analysis of center’s performance
  • Assists in establishing budgetary goals for center
  • Participates in the development of center programs
  • Determines best recruiting requirements necessary to meet job/position requirements and center objectives
  • Oversees reviewing and/or monitoring of all laboratory, x-ray, and ancillary reports
  • Provides medical consultations for medical staff and facility officials
  • Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies

Medical Director Job Requirements

  • Medical Doctorate or equivalent
  • Additional certifications may be preferred such as current CPR Certification or DEA License
