Job description for targeting resume for Electrician job. 

Common Electrician Job Duties:

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
• Test electrical systems, circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring
• Prepare sketches and follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment
• Install ground leads and wires, switch boxes, circuit breaker panels and conduits for wall wiring

Common Electrician Job Skills:

• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Can climb ladders and stairs, work from scaffolding and roofs or dig trenches to lay conduit
• Works well with hands
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Common Electrician Job Requirements:

• Average of 5 years experience commonly desired
• Minimum Education:  Trade school or technical degree in Electrical Wiring
• Maintain required certification through the state of employment
